AIRAID has developed a state-of-the-art Cool Air Intake System for the 99-04 GT Mustang, p/n 450-204 that delivers more "Real" horsepower to the rear wheels for beter performance and fuel economy. This system generated 11 rear-wheel horsepower and 10 ft/lbs. torque, as tested on the Mustang Dynamometer. This new Mustang system utilizes a roto-molded, cross-linked polyethylene intake tube that is CNC designed for correct mass air flow and air fuel ratio. This new system also features a large deep-breathing, one-piece cold air box that keeps heat out of the intake.
The heart of the new Mustang air intake system is an AIRAID Premium SynthaFlow™ high-flow air filter which is isolated from engine heat by a computer-designed Cool Air Dam. SynthaFlow™ is a synthetic-fiber material that traps the smallest dirt particles that ordinary cotton-gauze “performance” filters can’t capture without inhibiting air flow.
That translates into improved air flow over stock, dramatically improved throttle response and dyno-proven gains in horsepower and torque, not to mention better fuel efficiency. As is the case with all AIRAID products, the 99-04 Mustang GT Intake System comes with a No Hassle Warranty.

The SynthaMax filter media consists of an inner and outer layer of wire mesh for durable support of filtration media as well as overall filter durability. This filter construction will not deform or collapse under high air flow. The inner filter media consists of two distinct layers of specifically designed synthetic materials that have separate performance characteristics designed to work together for a combined function of outstanding air flow (low restriction) and exceptionally high filtration. Contaminants are first captured by the outer layer of synthetic needlefelt polyester material designed for wet and dry filtration with high air flow capacity. The inner layer of (wet-laid / chemical bonded) (rayon / polyester) captures any remaining contaminants while maintaining high air flow and low restriction. Each separate layer of these high tech materials are design to work together for the highest level of air flow performance and filtration with exceptional durability.
